Hi! I just got my first digital camera, a Canon Powershot A-80. I'm a beginner trying to learn the intricacies of photography.. here are some of the pics I took in my hometown. Hopefully, I would be able to take professional-looking pictures in the near future.

Nice sunset. The second one needs to be leveled, and more DOF would make the people sharper. But, I'd say you're off to a good start.

The first one is very nice, I would crop the bottom off a bit though.

I agree with Sparker The second one needs to be leveled and the people could be a bit sharper by using more DOF.

hey nice efforts on the a80. i started with the A40 and got some good shots myself.
the first photo is nice. i like the colors and your composition.
second is nice. if you meant for the background to be blurry. try using a shallower depth of field otherwise, shoot in f8 and use a tripod or something that can hold the camera steady.

i havent been back to the Philippines in years, gotta miss those beaches. i started with an a60 , it a good tool to learn plus its digital so you get instant feedback. nice shots and good luck on learning photography! :D
