My wife is having labor induced tomorrow! I've only taken newborn pics with a P&S once before.
I'm looking for any last minute hints/tips you guys might have. Must-have shots, lighting ideas, etc. I'm not going to be thinking too rationally at the moment, so I need to plan what I'm going to shoot now.
Here's the equipment I'm bringing with us to the hospital:
5d2 camera
85mm 1.8 prime
28-80mm 2.8 zoom
383 flash unit w/ cybersyncs for off camera flash
Thanks for any ideas you guys might have!

If it was me (and it was ~9 months ago), I'd just bring the 85 and the 28 primes and shoot natural light. You have perhaps the best high ISO performing camera ever, so I think you would be fine. When my son was born, I probably kept my 40D in between 800 and 1000, and just shot with my 85 and 30.
Good luck and congrats!

+ 1 to the lens suggestion. My most important advice goes to the flash side: Make sure you create the softest light you can, but make sure you keep the lighting as simple as possible (I almost screwed up my favourite shot in the labour room because one remote flash was in the picture frame :o :o :o ). Available light may be ok, but especially during night and in winter it may as well not.

Hi Rudeofus,
I brought a couple of flashes and cybersyncs with me, but the ambient light was good enough. I had a 5d2 and primes, so it should be right? The pictures are here:

I'm doing an "official" newborn photoshoot today.
