#3 is your strongest shot, primarily down to the fact you can see the guy's face, try not to shoot their backs, unless you've got the batsman in shot.

Awesome shots! Don't let my wife see the one of Woody...she's a Cards fan and still ticked he left. ;)

What lens did you shoot these with?

Thanks for the tip, although it's kinda hard to shoot the right handers from the first base side. I concentrated on being able to read the jersey since you wouldn't be able to see the face.

Thanks for the compliment. Hopefully Woody can fill Wells shoes here. I'll have to see if I have some more of him.
All of the shots were with the DReb and 100-400L(which is the same lens I saw roaming the field with a pro, on a 20D).

Your first set of pix are good and your second set are excellent -- keepers for sure. I shot a three game series at Wrigley last season and the third game was Nomar's first day in a Cubs uniform. Your shot is better than anything I got of him that day.

Zach,
I shot the Padres game vs the Cubs on Sunday, March 20th. Did we shoot the same game?...lol

fslshooter, thanks. I had really good seats, I think that makes a bit of a difference.

DigitDan, yes we did. I was in the second row, section 107 behind the cubs dugout. First row seats would have been great, but I won't complain about the 2nd row.

As a Cubs fan, thanks for those shots! I'm definately buying a 100-400L this weekend. I've seen too many great photos from them on here today alone.
