Absolutely great! Love their eyes. I have read people saying that they like the selective coloring, but is #1 selective coloring or did you just desaturate the picture? Just wondering...either way i love it.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to comment on these. It's nice to hear that the selective color is working for you. I don't do it often... but something made me want more than just B&W so I brushed back some of the pinks....

Christy.. The images are not desaturated.. but I painted lightly back over a few places... like the Iris of the eye, lips, cheeks, and then some pink parts of the image.

Pretty simple.. just natural light from a window.. nothing special.

Maureen... I think I shot at f/4 on both... I know you can see that their hair fades from the focus quickly. I always forget that shooting full frame.. I should stop down a little farther because the DOF, even at f/4 is pretty thin...

Have to agree with you Kristy on your selective color comments.
#1 is my favorite here - I think it works best with the black hair, and doesn't she have the most amazing eyelashes.

Thanks again for the sweet words guys.. :) I always appreciate when people take the time to respond. Very much appreciated.

AZ PIX.... on the eyes.. I cut them to their own layer.. defog, dodge the highlights, burn the edges of the iris's and the lashes.. and then I sharpen again. sometimes I duplicate the layer and do a high pass filter.. and reduce the opacity to my liking. :)
But it doesn't hurt to have sharp eyes out of camera... that's really the secret.
