The loading speed was pretty good for me (But I do have a fast fiber optic connection so take it with a grain of salt). When I was first presented with the finished page I was a bit lost, the menu was not immediately noticeable to me and I wanted to click on what I thought was the splash screen (Girl with flames) but it did not take me anywhere. I'd change that picture to take you to a menu where you can choose the photo gallery that you want to browse.
When actually browsing through a gallery I'd make the forward, backward and pause buttons a bit bigger. My preference would be for them to always be visible with the option to hide them rather than disappear when the mouse is not at the bottom of the window. Also a button to take the user back to the home would be nice rather than it being buried in a menu. It is quite good for a first time though :)

Loading time was OK for me, I'm on a normal UK broadband connection (slow) :) well its about a 6meg connection and seemed OK. A few of the pictures took a while to load but not majorly bad loading times.
I instantly turned the music off as website with music do my head in, but this is my opinion.
I agree with what That_Fox has said about the buttons, for a second I didn't know how to change to the next image until I jogged my mouse.
Nice site though!

Tim,
Thanks for the feedback. I still working on making the button bigger. For now, i've changed the time internal (make is shorter) so the next picture will show on by itself. :) 75% of the images had been reduced in size (from ~900K -1.1mb to 400Kb -500Kb). This will sure help the loading process. :)

When you use music for a website, do you have to get permission?? And is this a template, or did you make this from scratch?
I really like the layout and navigation. Easy to use, which is huge for non-computer/non-internet folks.

i bought the script for $54. Much cheaper to hire a Flash designer to create something like this. :) I have lots of control on how to config the layout/option.
