My poor son. He always gets called a girl. I cut 3 inches off his hair the other day & he's already been called a girl twice! The pink shirt isn't helping, but he picked it out!

That kind of haircut on a boy with a pretty face, and you might as well name him Sue. Time for a little boy haircut, I expect.

Hey, Ashton Kutcher made his whole career on being "man pretty". :)

BTW, quite a nice photo but seems to have a slight pink cast to it on my awful uncalibrated work monitor.

(I called a little boy a girl the other day...he had the same hair style as your son but it was almost white.)

hey, long hair is in-style for boys right now! I actually think I cut his hair a little too short, and can't wait for it to grow back out!

He's really cute, I could see how people would be confused by the pink shirt and the eye lashes though.

my little one gets called "she" by strangers all the time if thats any consolation

lol he's absolutely adorable but i think you cant really get upset with the girl comments...i mean cmon...round face...long eyelashes...long hair...pink shirt.... all those things are going to make people assume he's a she...and usually theyd be right!

i bet as he gets older he'll lose the baby-look of his face and his face will take on more of a masculine look and then no one will mistake him for a girl. or if you cut his hair :) At this age though, i wouldnt worry over what people think he is at first glance..im sure he doesnt care!

Ok, you do defintaly have an adorable boy here and cute photo by the way but like everyone has said the hair just take's it all and makes him look like a girl. You should go back and cut it to about an inch or less. I think boys looks better with shorter hair cuts. Also if you just cut his hair how did he not get called a boy then either? Oh, well handsome boy that's all that matter :).

Its not the length thats off, I think a bit of a different style maybe. Try doing somthing different with the bangs, there are lots of cute long haired boys haircuts and styles.

LOL, the responses are amusing me!

I honestly find it kind of funny that so many people assume he's a girl. It's even happened when he had really short hair & wasn't wearing a pink shirt! Guess it's just b/c he's so darn pretty! He prefers his hair long, took months of convincing before he even let me cut it that much. :P

Thats funny you mentioned that Athena...After looking at one of your post awhile back I thought your youngest was a girl..lol. Thats ok...my youngest son who is 15 now had curly hair, the biggest eyes and longest lashes when he was younger. Everyone thought he was a girl as well...he is just a beautiful boy!:)

Yep. The all important hair. We have an older version with 'important' hair. He's a HS football player, (6' 4" and 325 lbs) so nobody gives him a hard time about the length. About 4" in the back hangs out of his helmet! Like your son, he just had it cut a couple of weeks ago!

people think my youngest daughter is a boy, even when she wears pink, even though she has the big brown eyes and big eye lashes...

He's developed his own style, and he's a kid, so who cares

This thread is funny...

Actually brought back some memories for me.
My mother dressed me a pair of short pant bibs and took me to church when I was probably 4 or 5. The comment from the Sunday school teacher was " Aw, he's to cute to be boy, just look at those pretty legs." We got in the car to head home and I said, " I'm not wearing short sleeve pants ever again."

So my suggestion would be to "man him up a bit" get him some hair glue (http://www.folica.com/got2b_Glued_Sty_d1479.html) and slick back.

Nice job on the photo by the way...;)
