My Dilemma
My current Strobist setup is 2 Promatic Flashes into brolly boxes. (I have 3 of them – 2 I just got) (Flash model is Promatic FTD 5600)
1 has a 1 prong connection on the shoe-mount... (Which I believe is broken because both of my other promatics are 3 prong)
The dilemma is, the cactus v2’s will not fire the 1 prong connection Promatic, nor will the sync cord.
Now, Promaster and Promatic flashes’ are identical, and apparently can swap lower modules?
Is this correct?
I’m just trying to figure out where to go/what to do.
Both these flashes offer what I need for the price of about 1/3 a Vivitar 285
