...was the book I rented from the Library assuming it would be kind of a "for Dummies" approach to explaining lighting and equipment. I didn't expect to be a lighting expert afterward but I was following it pretty well until about half way into it and I got extremely overwhelmed and confused to say the least. Nothing like not understand a "beginners" book to help you feel like an idiot :oops:. Can anyone recommend a book that is a fairly easy read about lighting. (I hope this is in the right category of the forum).

IMO, the best 'guide' to lighting would be the strobist 101. That teaches method, and shows off results, and talks about why you want such results, and why you don't want some stuff.

Also, the Paul C Buff Forums provide a lot of helpful information.
