Hiya
I am considering buying the Canon EF 100-300mm f4.5-5.6 USM Lens. Any words of wisdom? Good or bad?
Thanks

Well, I have one for sale (see sig) and from personal experience using it, it's a great lens for the money. USM, too, so it's pretty quick compared to other similar alternatives.
If you're interested in mine just let me know, I could take an offer.

I have found that buying anything short of "L" lenses ends up being expensive when you finally realize that you want the best! You don't get squat for them when you re-sell them. I would save up a little more. You certainly won't be sorry.
You may change your camera a number of times over the next 5 years, but the lenses will there forever!

Unless Canon changes the mount again. I have a killer 50mm 1.4ssc that has been sitting in a closet for years.
