Um... I've gotten to a point now where I have way too much stuff and all my gear gets laid out on the floor of my room.

How do you guys store away not only your cameras and lenses but your bags and lighting gear?

Pictures would be great (since this is a photography forum after all).

I have an end table with a glass door. It's got 3 shelves, and my lenses, bodies, flashes, etc go in there. I have three camera bags, and they get neaty placed on the ground near the end table. Other times I load up my bags with my body and lenses

I put it all in my Mountainsmith Odyssey photo backpack. I got this backpack (really big by photography standards, but not by backpacker standards) because I just wanted to have one place to put everything but also be able to pick it up and go. It's worked great so far.

Depends how I last used it. At the moment, the 70-200mm is in the bag that came with it while the body/grip and 50mm are in a Lowepro bag. This is because I last used the 70-200mm and I took it off because it's too heavy to move around while I'm getting the photos off it. If I've just used the 50mm, I'll usually leave it on. Whatever happens, they sit at the back corner on the top of a 1.5m high drawers unit just so nothing can fall off.

I keep all my stuff in my Lowepro Computrekker, which stays in a closet. Every time I come back from a photoshoot, I prepare my backpack for the next one, so that I just have to pick it up, take my tripod and leave. That includes instant downloading of the CR2-files, formatting the cards and putting them back. I also leave some strobist stuff in a drawer, together with battery chargers and cables, because I don't use them that often.

I managed to find two 2-drawer heavy duty filing cabinets (used, with locks and keys)
They are different from the regular filing cabinets as the top drawer which is usually as deep as the bottom has been divided into two drawers.

I lined the drawers with foam. The deep drawer holds the camera and my lenses. The shallower drawers hold everything else. I have put bags of silica gel in the drawers. Finally a set up I am comfortable with.

Unfortunately I do not have the need for additional storage (yet) as all of my gear fits in one bag :(. I look forward to the time when this is a problem for me :D.

Powered drybox. We need it over here in this very tropical climate. It's just able to fit exactly what I have in my sig now. Anything more, and I'll need another one, or upgrade.

Keep my gear in my backpacks Think Tank Streetwalker Hard Drive if just doing daily shooting it holds all my gear minus the 300 2.8 if I just got back from a trip it is in my Think Tak Acceleration v2.0 because it can hold my 300 2.8 and all my gear.

WOW!!! that 1614 is freakin' AWESOME!

Looks to cost a little over $200 and you could definitely use it to use if you do destination weddings out of the country or elsewhere.

Hmm... wonder if I could afford one... :)

Anyone else?

Lights stay in the travel bag. Camera bag stays in top of it. However the body and 1 lens stay in my desk as I am constantly shooting something.

Everything in the top line of my sig is in my Nova 5 which gets locked in the gun safe when I leave it at home alone. Second line in sig is on the shelf in the closet. Then there are two boxes on the shelf with batteries, charges, cleaning supplies, filters, and extra straps. The tripod and monopod are also on the shelf. When I leave to shot the Nova 5 goes with me. Or if I'm going to be cramped for space I put just a select few lenses and camera in a smaller bag.

In my Fastpack 200... if it won't fit, I won't buy it. I decided, after decades of lugging camera equipment around the world, that I would have to set a limit. I stopped shooting altogether for about 15 years because I got tired of big heavy camera bags. I'm not going down that road, again.

In an esky...ah, cooler for you guys, with everything in their individual pouches. I know now what each lens feels like when I reach in to find one - most in identical black bags. My cameras no-longer fit in the esky though, they live in their bags under a shelf, ready to go. I originally bought the esky to take perishable food and beer on camping trips, but ended up putting my gear in it on a really hot day, and then it became a permanent home for my stuff.

I live in a place with a very dry climate for most of the year, when I lived in the tropics, all the gear had individual dry bags with silica gel inside.

hehe, this picture is getting a lot of use these days. This is how I store my stuff at home usually. There's also a closet to hang all my bags and such. Anything not in the pelican sits on a "photography shelf" in my den. Pelican sits on the floor or on a table in the den.

wow, i'm realling diggin' all these pelicans!

I may just have to invest one. they look to store lots of stuff and would definitely be able to keep everything in one place.
