with a F2.8/28mm Elimart lens - in camo green.

only 500 available - I think it's actually quite cute (in an "I want one" kinda way).

I'm no leica fan, but I'll tell you right now that thing looks stupid in olive green. Isn't the point of a rangefinder to be compact, small and stealthy for the shots you don't want anyone to know you're taking ?

Looks like it would work well for Vietnam. We are done there you say? Well maybe they should fast forward about 40 years and make a Desert Edition.

why do people make camo style expensive equipment... what happens when you put it down? you can't find it, at least do it in that bright orange stuff.

There was an olive drab Canon F-1 made in the late 70s.

And its not the first time Leica's done it.

whats the point about the colour? it'll just be harder to find if you drop it in the jungle :P

It will be extremely stealthy; most folks who pick this one up won't use it, stowing it away with their other Leica collectables. That said, the Leica M6 commemorative for the Thailand Golden Jubilee is pretty stunning; saw it in Bangkok, and it's not as gaudy as it might appear in the linked photo, very nice piece.

I'm not a big Leica fan (would be a HUGE Leica fan if their prices weren't astronomical), but that's pretty cool...looks like it's straight outta WWII.

But that OD F1...simply stunning...love it

shouldn't it be in leopard spots as camoflague?

I like Leica, but I cannot say I like this one.

It's another way to keep market value high: Limited edition Collectors items.

Some other "special" camera's that aren't likely to be used:

That last one is beyond hideous. So very gross! :p

I love it, weird, I thought I would hate it! I want one and yes I'd probably carry it all the time instead of my point and shoo but in a bigger purse of course.
