I am trying to post a link to my flickr page in my signature, however I cannot figure out how to get it to work. I want to be able to link to my flickr page and have it show up as "flickr" (in color). I have very limited HTML knowledge, but i do know how to post pictures and basic links and such.

I noticed that under permissions it says HTML is not allowed... is there another way for me to achieve what I am trying to do? or do I have to reach some certain post quota before HTML is allowed...

You don't need HTML coding.

Just use

-=LOOK AT MY GALLERY=- (http://the-aperture.com)

Thanks!

now the next question is how do you change the font and color of the link text.

-=CNN=- (http://cnn.com)

-=CNN=- (http://cnn.com)

with bold, if you want that...

All you do is highlight the textual part of the url and then use the formatting links in the post edit toolbar.

Pete, when I click on your "Gear list", it is isolated to your post only, How do i do that?

In the upper right hand corner of each post is a number. Click on that number and you'll go to that specific post. Copy and paste that link and you should be able to do that.

Here's your post, for example: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showpost.php?p=7215068&postcount=6

I did this and it worked for me. How do you later edit your sig line without losing the previous codes? They seem to get "absorbed." When I go to "edit signature," it doesn't display the html codes, only the "finished product" link. Is there a way to reveal exactly what's typed in there, codes and all?

Html code is not accepted. You need to use bbcode. If you can't see bbcode in your sig editor, click http://photography-on-the.net/forum/images/editor/switchmode.gif button on top right corner of your editor to change editor mode.
