I don’t see why not, I know that this is a Canon forum, but it is also a photographer’s community, were we share information and we should respect each other no matter which make of camera we use.

I have the same problem, and I am stuck in both camps because I have both makes of camera. (Not going to use profanity and mention the other name after my last post). But it was reading these forums that enlightened me to a different make of camera, I took the plunge last summer.

Join the darkside, I have a d70 as well! You won't be shunned, but expect lots of friendly abuse! ;)

No problem here as long as you don't mind it being referred to as:

NOINK

Good luck with your new camera.

May the 'NIKON' force be with you!:)

yeah, this is one of the friendliest forums I have been on.
The guys are honest, and straight up, but yet still not brutal. If you ask for ctique, they give it to you, but in a way that makes you want to go out and try again instead of putting your camera down, and giving up..

That's the difference that I have noticed with this forum, and others.

I definetly look forward to seeing you post here.

I am such a nimrod here that I hardly know which way to point the camera but these guys let me hang out.
I started with a Kodak Brownie using 620 film followed by (not neccessarily in order) Argus double lense reflex, Agfa rangefinder 35mm, Ashai Pentax Spotmatix, various 110s, then quit altogether until the wife got a Canon Photura 35mm (weird looking) which I used occasionally.
Then along came digital. I started back into the game with a Kodak 1.3MP, then a Minolta S304, Canon A70, A80 and my wife let me use her Pro1. Now my wife and I both have 20Ds and a serious case of L fever. We are both serious Canon fans but I can not imagine anyone here giving fellow photographer a bad time just for the brand of camera he or she uses.

If you cant run to the new strap we insist that you paint all your big lenses white. ;)

Atleast we are saving on medical expenses. One less person to catch L fever :p

Therefore more medicine for us. Medicine = more L glass lol.

Yea its cool that u want to stick around. I think we concentrate more on sharing of technqiue more then sharing of camera info as most of us on the forum already know everything there is to know on actual canon equipment, we just dont know how to use it yet :p

I have a pair of Nikon binoculars and an old Nikon P&S film camera and nobody's shunned me yet, so I'd say you'll be in good company here.
