I rigged up a white background (the backside of my large calibration target) and took some pics of our 2 month old. I had my 580EX II clamped to a floor stand angled down. I had 2 AB800s as main/fill. I definitely need to get a real white background and practice. Anyway, here's the results of my impromptu shoot. These are SOOC. My laptop crashed and I haven't reinstalled PS yet. I need to clone out the lines on the right of the image.

Cute... looks like you did well with the BG exposure.. looks perfectly white.
I see a teensy bit of light spill on the edges of the baby... her head and the sleeve of her jacket... to camera left... Perhaps if you move her a little further forward next time that will help. :)
Very cute pinky and girly.. :)

Looks good, seems like the focus is on her cheek and not her eyes. Was this intentional?
