The cats name is Max he's around 7 now and he's a great cat. He's good with children and dogs, the puppies were outside playing today and they only see him on ocassion so the two of them trying to play made the cat a little tense, great photo opportunity for me though.
C&C is both welcome and appreciated!!

Wow, that is an impressive looking cat.

I'm not sure if it is true but I've heard that tale that puppies get imprinted with the size of other animals if they grow up around them -- so they always think the cat is much bigger and give it respect... you'll see, eh? The pups are Jack Russells?

It's a six month old Jack Russell and a nine week old German Shepherd.
The cat was mostly intimidated by the German Shepherd, even though he was the calmer of the two, but it probably came down to size....the shepherds already about 10 pounds heavier than the cat. But the cat lives at my parents which is about a 40 minute drive so they don't get to see him daily.

Nice work, our puppy is also named Max, great name!

Is Max a 'maine coon'? Because he looks a lot like our old cat and she was half maine coon and half something else. I usually only like Ragdoll cats (previously had one), but Max looks great!

Thanks for the comments guys. We're not too sure what the cat is, when we lived in west palm a retirement community had found him and was hand feeding him but keeping him in an unairconditioned storage room. My mom being a realtor frequenting the place found out about him and was actually in the market for an orange/golden cat but couldn't resist taking him home. The cat has a great personality but a series of health problems in the passed so he won't live to be old. He use to have seizures but a steriod shot stopped that and we think he has asthma but the vets aren't 100% sure.
