I have just bought a mac ibook to use with my Canon D60 (bought Aug 2002) but even though I have installed the Mac OS 9 supplied with the iBook, it won't let me install the D60 software.
Help!!!

Are you sure you need to install from the CD-ROM? Depending on your version of QuickTime (and your version of Mac OS), the camera may already be supported automatically (connect the camera following recommended procedure, after being properly powered in correct order) and you should be asked if you want to set up a connection.
You can also try from within iPhoto (again, depending on version).
Sorry I don't know about what versions provid the necessary support, but I'm using an iBook (G3) under OS X 10.2.1. I did not have to install Canon software.
If nobody here has the definitive answer, you might check Canon's web site (have to search, as D60 is not a current product) and/or Apple's support area.
