since i liked the shots i did last weekend of the silhouettes, i tried to recreate them with more control over the gradients that the strobes were creating

here are 2 slightly different versions, what do you think of the overall image and concept and which version do you prefer?

by #3 are you guys looking for the rest from the overall shoot? more silhouetted images from this shoot? or an edited verion of this w/ the spike taken out?

I like them both, however I find the piercing distracting. JMO.

OK... I like the first one the best, but I also found the lip piercing distracting. I also think her arms and neck look a little awkward.

HOWEVER, in the second pic, I love that you can see the light reflecting off of the small of her back/bottom, her right shoulder/chest, and the how the inside of her left hip is distinguished from her right hip.

like the 1st one -- More silhouettey (Didn't notice any lip piercing until it was mentioned ) :p :p

Nice idea, but to be honest, Mike, I think the lack of ankles makes her thighs look thick. I think I would have cropped a bit higher or included her feet and ankles.

I'm partial to the second photo. The border enhances the pics very well.

keep in mind this is still 2:3 perspective, i can crop to 8x10 perspective and loose 20% from the top and bottom yet

She would look better without it in this picture (both 1 & 2) but I like 2 for some of the shadow work.
