Haven't had time to do much railroad photography or post many here for review lately, but here are some from the past several months for your critique and consideration.

-Norfolk Southern Office Car Special, deadheading back to Altoona, PA, passes by Lee at the east end of Appomattox, VA. Canon 20D, ISO 3200 as it was nearly dark by the time the train arrived.

-Going away shot highlighting the classic Norfolk & Western Position Light signals.

-I had been busy photographing the old C&O signals along the James River Sub, as CSX was quickly replacing them throughout the area. I thought I might need to get a photo of the old telegraph line before that too disappeared.

-On a recent trip to photograph the old C&O signals, I stumbled upon a Harsco Rail Grinder in the siding near Natural Bridge, VA

-One of the first railroad shots with my new 1DMKIII; two westbounds race uphill at Willowtown, WV with the manifest train easily overtaking the slower coal drag.

I like to see them 'in your face' so if these were mine I would crop them some more

You should see that rail grinder working at night! Nice capture of the office train at the high ISO.
