I did a green laser through a magnifying prism


the problem with laser is that you cant really get rid of the hot spot

Cool photo! And you're right - it can be a problem.
But on the other hand it can be quite an effect as well.
I was using the 5DmkII/MP-E65 and a high power laser, burning a piece of black plastic, in my test above.

mine wasnt really a macro as i was using a 17-85 on my 40D. :P
