I shot this with a 500mm Sigma. Still learning the setting and such. I am new here

Two big nits to my eye here. First, there appears to be a lot of color noise in this shot...I'd really run another pass with some noise reduction software. Secondly...and I realize this is a bit subjective because this was a wild bird but, I would like to have seen a much tighter crop here. As is I would have at least gone with the rule of thirds...you have the bird pretty much dead center in the shot. I also would like to have seen a much nicer sky as well...what you have there is a big featureless sheet of whiteness.
Just my $.02 worth,
Jim

Thank you. I will try these things that you mentioned. It was a very gloomy day here. Would I adjust the sky in Photoshop as well as the noise reduction. Thanks for the tips

I'm afraid I don't quite get what the two of you are talking about when you mention too much color noise. I'm not a total neophyte, but you've lost me.
Please elaborate a bit----what color noise, and where?
Thanks
Wayne
