i don't know how to get my settings to post with the picture so i'll just write them out for ya.

i can't quite remember what i did to the first picture i was playing around so much. is there a way to find that out in cs4? i can say i was playing with pioneer womans actions. but i think for htis one i used cheetapita's bw conversion. then i did something else to it. i wish i could remember for myself.haha. i also have some other actions i was playing with lemmondrop candy actions i think they are called. not sure if i used one of these but i think i might of and lowered the opacity.

the second one i just ran a high pass filter over it and then put the vignette. oh and i sharpened the eyes a bit.

it was probably around 1pm and very sunny out plus tons of snow. but we found some shady spots.

anyways thanks for the comments and if anyone knows how to go back and see your steps of how you photoshoped pics let me know. thanks

Beautiful pics. I have to agree that the first is my favorite. The depth and contrast is just perfect. I love children's photos that aren't always smiles...adds so much to the personality of the photo.

i did sharpen them a bit. i think it helped that she stayed very still and i had nice lighting

Well, even considering all of that, I still think these are great.

I like these, but I think I'd love them without the vignettes....they just take too much from the shots, imo.
