I recently posted a blog on my website about macro focus stacking. For those who don't know what it is and the methods some use to acheive it.

Also, Thanks LordV (Brian) for posting a great example on diffraction, which I referenced in my blog. I believe he used photoshop to hand stack as well, but with a different method.
