I have the Mini Trekker and it's got these two loops at the bottom of the bag that I use to strap on a tripod. I see some people's mini trekker where they rest a tripod into a cup and attach the tripod vertically to the front surface of the bag. Should this feature be standard on the Mini Trekker? I don't see anything like that on my bag.

Yes, it is hidden in the pocket on the front, open it completely and there will be a pouch in which You can rest the tripod in.

I think it's only the Mini Trekker AW (All Weather), not on the Classic.

You could be right, I got the AW version. Sorry for not pointing that out.

boogerg--did you find anything on your mini-trekker? I have the Mini-Trekker classic and just searched all the pockets inside and out and came up blank. I think they may have changed the design which would be a shame since the only thing I don't like about this pack is the inability to carry my tripod vertically unless I just stick it loosely in a pocket.

Could have been a change in the design I guess....mine's a bit long in the tooth now!

You can get the straps that allow you strap your pod to the side of the pack.

Mines only a couple years old so it sounds like they did add it as a later feature. I just picked up an Off-Trail 2 as my mini trekker had a habit of getting a bit heavy. Boy is the off trail a great bag.
