580ex or 580exII w/ 5D markII

I have just sold my 5D and have used the 580EX flash with it. Now that I am going to purchase the new 5D markII, does anyone know for sure if I can continue to use my 580EX flash or do I need to change to the 580EXII. Thank you very much for your help.
