HI, can anyone tell me if( microsoft digital image pro 10) will be as good a program as photoshop. i am new to this and wondered if this program is ok as it is availabe to me thanks for any info, Jerry

Sorry, no, it doesn't even come close.
It's a basic cataloging, photo archiving and editing tool.

There are quite a few basic editors out there which are free such as The GIMP and Irfanview, which will allow you to make basic changes, crop, resize and adjust brightness and the like.

Picasa from Google is free too and is good for creating an archive and database of your shots plus some basic photo edits.

But if you want to manipulate your photos then you really should be looking at Photoshop Elements (assuming you're looking at the budget end of the market?) or Paint Shop Pro, PE is my preference of the two.
