I have been studying up on do's and don't on POTN for my first indoor photography of my son's Bball game. Rather than ask for permission to use my flash I thought it better to ask for forgiveness... noone said anything. I used all three lenses I have to try to determine the best one (still not sure). I also shot in RAW and in Manual for the whole game (first for this too). Thanks for lookin',
Rob

4. This one was a little grainy so I used a bit of artistic license with it

#3 looks like the flash shot. Notice the ghosting on the ball? I tried using flash and apparently the ball is moving quickest so it was a total blur on most shots.

What gear did you use?

I rotated through my lenses (see in signature) to see what one worked best. I used the 18-55mm mostly. I did try to pan with the player movement. In #3 he is actually off the ground. I panned with him but it looks like he was pushing the ball to the hoop faster than he was elevating to his phenomenal 8" vertical leap I used a flash on all the pictures. I turned it backwards and bounced it off the white wall behind me not to blind the kids coming down the court. Thanks for checking them out your comments.
