Couldn't shoot for a little while, but back at it now. Started with come college BBall.
Canon 1DIII on a 70-200, 1DIIN on a 300. Four strobes, one at each corner bounded off the ceiling.

Would like to see them a bit bigger to show more detail, but they look good and like to see something different like the 2nd one shooting from a different position. Just watch the forum rules, you're only supposed to attach two images to a thread - not three.

S.M.D. - think you missed some posts as I've seen a few other threads that had good b-ball images, seems like a low blow to other good b-ball shooters on here.

Really like the first pic, the fight for the ball....but, I would fix the horizon on it.

Yeah, jeez. There are quite a few skilled bball shooters here. (not tooting my own horn either. I can name half a dozen regular posters off the top of my head who I think are much better than me)

Anyway, mphotos, I think you could improve the second and third shots with different crops -- the second shot is just barely cutting the shooters feet off, and thats distracting I think.

On the third, the chopped off ball, and random defenders arm draw my attention. (I figure this was straight out of camera, so it's not a pp critique, just a general shooting observation)

good shots overall though. hope you had fun getting back into basketball mode. It's my favorite sports to shoot.

I'll have to agree with everyone else, this is a pretty bold statement considering all other extremely talented shooters on here.

As for the OP you have some nice shots. The exposure and WB is good.

I like the angle in #2, its not one you see often. Watch your crops you have missing feet in #2 and half the ball is missing in #3. Other than that good job

SMD, I doubt I need to say that I agree with the others but dude, seriously? There are some ridiculously talented hoops shooters here that have a ton to teach. Do your thing but you probably didn't just endear yourself to any of them. Cheers.

OP, my only additional crit would be that the horizon is definitely off in the first and looks to be slighty askew in the third. Easy fix.

Since they are kinda small its hard to tell definitely but it looks more like ambient shots. They lack the pop that normally come from strobed shots.

What? You haven't been looking! There are shooters here whose work is among the best you'll see ANYwhere!

Not MY stuff, of course!
