Yesterday, I shot a b-ball game even though I was ill.

The results from the shoot are completely unsatisfactory.

Have you seen the same thing, or can you shoot well even when you're sick?

I absolutely will not shoot while I'm sick unless I'm in a chair and no one asks for anything in particular. But the truth is, my back isn't great and I always shoot no matter what if assigned. The images are fine, but never the best.

I have frequent migraines, normally 2-4 a week. When I shoot with a really, really bad one I can count on everything being pure crap.

I won't take a job or do something for someone while sick. I can't tell you how bad I shoot while sick because it's been some years since I've done that. I don't get sick often and when I do it's only for a a couple of days so...yeah.

When I'm sick (like I am now :(), the motivation to do anything is greatly reduced. If I'm not motivated to do something, I'm not going to do it well. Simple as that.

I shot a bike race with a real bad hangover before. I got home and uploaded everything, WOW! should have stayed home.

Sick or exhausted. I did a trek along a creek bed load with gear. By the time I got to the waterfall at the end I was exhausted and the shots suffered.

The ability to create is definately affected if the brain is waisting "cycles" on extraneous issues...

If I don't feel well, I don't shoot well.

I do a lot of club photography, and when I'm feeling less than great, the quantity of photos goes WAY down, but the quality for the most part doesn't suffer (it's really a thoughtless process).

When I'm doing sports photography or concert photography, the results suffer a lot.

Guess it depends.. each person is going to be different.

I'll add "uncomfortable", as well. Shooting ice hockey all day and being a layer of clothing short, for example, makes for a lousy batch of pictures.
