Pretty self explanatory. What's the best/favorite music for a photo website?

Whatever I'm listening to of my own free will at the time I happen to browse to it. =)
Sites that force music on me generally get closed before they're done loading.

OP got 1200 posts and has not figured out that posting about music for his/her site is just gonna bring out this response?

Something that complements the photos-- in my opinion -- most of the time the music over powers the photos. I think it should be simple and in the background. It must complement the photos or it takes away from them.

my photography teacher uses plane noises for his aviation photos on his website and it annoys the hell out of me. But hes a pretty cool guy so i dont say anything. I agree with many-not only no music, but no sounds

Uh, yeah, nothing. Im almost always listening to music anyways, so when a site starts playing music as well things get really gnarly. If I cant find the "music off" button in like 2 seconds then I close the website.

Don't do it. It puts viewers off like nothing else.

Ok, I think I get it. It seems like the general opinion likes Modest Mouse. ;)

Check out the theme from St Elmo's Fire (movie in the eightys) it remarkably goes with most anything. I use it on many slide shows.
