I just downloaded a trial version of capture one DSLR software for use with an EOS 1DS.
Incredibly fast and real time changes available inmediately, however the nomenclature is kind of different.
Does anybody knows what Gray balance is and how it compares to white balance???
any comments on this software???

I heard it was very expensive compared to Breezebrowser and yarcPlus.
I use breezebrowser and find it very easy and capable for my needs.

if you are shooting with a 1Ds go here
http://216.197.110.125/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php
scroll down a bit to the raw software section
the grey balance is useable with white/black/grey to find a good point to go from
using a greatag color checker is best
grey cards can work but are not as accurate.
there is a bit of learning curve to the interface as it doesnt use the matrix settings etc....
you could use the film curves instead
also learning how to apply settings to other images etc.. once learned the flow is very fast to get the job done and very accurate
I can do a job of over 1000 images in a few hours no prob ;)
after going through many dif software etc.. this is what you want ;)
check out Robs site above and you will get tons of good info on this and many other tings to help you with your new camera ;)
