Good start- focus on the drop head looks a bit soft though.

Thanks for the C&C, its hard to get the focus just right. I tried just water that was really hard to focus, so I put blue die in the water. I have some shots with red and green water. Some of the patterns the water made is really cool looking. Again thank I will keep at it until I get a good focus.

What I did was figure out about where my drops were going to hit and stuck a pin with writing on it in the water at that point. Then focus on the writing on the pen and go.

why not use a ruler or laser range finder and an alternate target set to the same distance. Set the focus and turn off auto.... replace water in the same exact location or distance and shoot

Just a suggestion.

what do you mean by timer?

yeah...i use a small piece of paper...and put it over the water, then focus with live view 10X zoom....then just try and drop the water into the same spot...it is hard to really nail it sometimes

you'll get much better with more practice though...good luck

a delay timer to trigger the camera after the water drop has fallen from height

what do you mean by timer?
