At 20:32 a shed fire was dispatched in Leesburg, VA. A 20' x 40' stand-along shed was reported fully involved. Rural water supply operations were in effect. The shed was used for storage, but homeowners confirmed no hazardous materials. The snow and ice from previous days had melted and re-froze into a hard ice. You had to really stomp to break your boot through the top layer of ice. Made for slick conditions.

I didn't have my 50 f/1.4 nor my external flash with me, so I made due with my 24-70 f/2.8L.

First and third are great. I don't know what it is about the third one, but I love it. Maybe it's the angle, there is something about it that just grabs my attention. Great shots. I hate to say it, but I wish something like that would happen near me, I've always wanted to shoot firefighters in action.

Great shots,

Stephen

How much LDH did you need to rack up afterwards?

Great photos.

I didn't have to rack any. :) I'm "Photo 1" and my job is purely to respond to calls as I can and as they seem photo-worthy, and take pictures. I'm a member of the fire company, but not a firefighter. I have taken pictures of others' racking hose, though.

Thanks for the compliment.
