I recently picked up a Manfrotto/Bogen 323 RC2 quick release, worked like a champ when attached to camera. Problem is when I try to mount either my 300mm or 70-200 with tripod collars to the quick release the bottom of the 1Dmk111 or bottom of my gripped 40D interferes with the quick release handle. If this has happened to you, you know what I'm talking about. Looking for a solution.

Rotate the QR plate so the release handle swings away from the camera body.

snails,
thanks for pointing out the obvious. I feel like an idiot, like you said, just rotate the QR plate.
