Any Colorado New Mexico photography suggestions ?

Hello - will be taking a vaca trip from Denver, CO directly south down to Santa Fe / Albuquerque, NM area. I need to put the Rebel XTI to good use :) I love landscape photography and i'm sure both locations are packed full of photo opps.

Anyway, I just wanted to see if there are any suggested places that you would specifically suggest to get some great shots? (scenic drives, parks, other locations of interest along that route,etc..)

These shots are nothing special but I recommend going to garden of the gods in Colorado Springs. Lots of possibilities.

Check out Great Sand Dunes NP, Garden of Gods, Pikes Peak NF. Never been to NM myself so I cant help there. But if want to drive a few hours west head for Monument Valley (AZ/UT boarder).

Here is image from the longggg hike up Pikes Peak...in May.... (but there is a cog railway)
