looks like a lot of USM(i.e. the clouds), but you arent using photoshop, so i don't know why it looks that way. Might want do adjust the HUE, it almost looks like water without a forground point of reference

I'm going to go out on a limb and say it IS water. There is a very good possibility that I am wrong so don't take offense please. I like the shot it is surely different.

Looks like a reflection of a cloud in the upper left. Something reflecting in the lower right. And looks like the sun is coming 7 or 8 o'clock position.

This is just my observation and opinion. I like it a lot! If it is indeed water how did you shoot it? Standing on your head?

If it is indeed water how did you shoot it? Standing on your head? No, silly, it was taken in the southern hemisphere.

Yup, the picture is upside down (180°) and the foreground is mixed ice and water reflecting the sky above. The only hint of real sky is the subtle reflection of a cloud in upper left corner. Reflection in lower right hand corner is from tree line in the horizon, while the tree line itself is cropped obviously to make the illusion.

Maybe another picture from the same whereabouts explains further what the case was.

it's not the kind of picture that strikes beauty at first glance. IF I didnt know what it was I would spend more time trying to figure it out then enjoying it. After knowing what it is I see it's artistic values.

The sky is nice, not extraordinary.
