So, I just upgraded my tired old website to a fresh new look and I'd love to hear some C&C if you wouldn't mind. It is a completely new site, developed from a template from CMD.

Link to my site is in my sig.

Many thanks in advance.

Nice. Prices/packages page is too busy and confusing. That alone would put me off contacting you.

Oh and it needs title tags for SEO.

Hi there,

First of all just to say that I'm looking at this on my iPhone.

Is it neccessary to make people choose between flash and HTML? Could you send everyone to the flash site and then have a link to the HTML site there, most peoples computers have flash these days so it qoul only effect a few.

I'll go and have a deeper look around now and get back to you with some more comments in a bit.

I don't know if it was changed since Tim's comment, but I would disagree that the prices/packages are confusing. I think a chart showing price and option comparisons is a very organized and clearly stated way to present what will be received.

However, I think the chart is too small. Make it larger. Also offer it as a readable / downloadable PDF.

I also don't like the use of scroll bars on that page. Just let the left column flow.

Right, so I've had a look around now...

First thing I noticed is that when you choose either HTML or flash it opens a new window, is this neccessary?

I really like some of the shots that you have in your portfolio section, a nice selection.

Now for the CC :)

In your FAQ it seems to be unfinished as it ends mid sentence, this may be an iPhone related thing but I doubt it as it generaly doesn't do that.

The prices section, like previously said is a bit to busy for my liking, I understand the table and I think it works (could be bigger like already said) BUT... photography is an art (there are many technical aspects to it but mainly its an art) tables are very technical, in an effort to woo the browser I would think about offering named packages in a more flowery way. This will appeal to the bride (or groom) looking at it, after all I know I'd want an artis to shoot my wedding not an engineer!

The logo looks quite stark against the black background, could you invert it or put it on a grey/colour background?

On the contact page the comments box is Very small??? also would it be better to name it something like enquiry?

And I can't check this on my phone but like previously said you need to SEO your site, add in keywords and titles if you want to be found.

All the best, Davy

you may want to use flash to fill the check marks in the table depending on what is slected for a package leaving things that are not in the package blank and using only one collumn.

That may clean up the table issues.

and I agree too many new windows. Maybe some CCS to keep it uniform with transparent flash viewers to automate the content.

the package pricing is a strain for me to read.

I agree.

I like the main site itself...however I think the splash page could use a little freshening..perhaps to match the main site...
