Lovely image - seems a little soft, sharpness-wise, but that could be a function of the small image posted here in the forum. I'd be interested to see a composite of thumbnails of the twelve exposures to get a sense of the dynamic range present in the scene, if you wouldn't mind posting them (like I did here: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=639742).

What a terrific scene. Were the clouds moving? The pattern of the right side in the upper portion of the main cloud edge seems visually disorienting, like the cloud was moving and became misregistered between exposures. Couldn't you have requested that the cloud stop moving for your picture? :)

Here are the tumbnails you asked for. The clouds were moving ....it was a little bit windy there. Actually , the image came out Ok even without hdr , I used ND filter.....but I decided to take a few shots for HDR version....I think it came out ok.

To me the only thing that takes away from it is the cloud motion...which I know from personal experience is a bear to get away from...my eyes keep moving up to it..;)

I think I'd want to collect on that very, very quickly since once the weather stops, there won't be folks around to pay for very much longer.

Really nice composition. Looks pretty soft to me, could be ghosting from the hdr merge as well. Compared to the thumbails it looks a little oversaturated as well.

Same image....to avoid blurred clouds , I 've tried single RAW HDR...

If you really wanted to, you could composite the above sky into the original HDR tonemapped image and there you have it! Thanks for sharing.

Personally I would blend different exposures in, than go the HDR route. The clouds and moving water kind of dictate that to me. You would eliminate the ghosting.

Beautiful place - I wish I could go visit. Lovely shot too, as always, btw.
