Lastolite already has some really wonderful products but they've just added some new items that look very nice and round out the product line even further.

There are new rectangular Ezybox's. The MegaLite is a 6' x 4' softbox with its design based on the HiLite. There is a KickerLite which is a wedge that sits on the floor and is intended to be used in the same way you'd use a reflector to lift shadows under the chin of your subject. A 150" umbrella box is now available and black velvet backgrounds.

There are some other smaller items and doo-dads but those are the ones that stand out.

You can see them all at:
http://www.lastolite.com/index.php

Click on the products link and browse around. Pretty neat stuff.

It's odd that they don't have them in the "new products" category. I kind of dig that kickerlite.

FWIW, the smallest sized EzyBalance is my new best friend.

It's a great little product and is nearly indestructable.

the mega light seems very interesting!! but what really stole my heart is the kicker light, it looks like a very useful device for what I do :).

I didn't knew much of about lastolite products -only their umbrella softboxes- thanks for the head ups Robert!

Hey Brian,

I don't think Lastolite will win any awards for their web site. You do need to poke around a bit to find all the new products. :D

The KickerLite looks great, I agree. Great idea and eliminates the light stand and/or boom arm we would normally use to get a light in from underneath like that. Sometimes it's difficult to position a 'potato chip' reflector or you can't get it close enough to return the proper amount of light.

Although the Ezybox's are expensive they are great with a very clever design.

no one has the Megalite listed in the US yet.

Hi Eduardo,

The Megalite does look interesting. Many pros used to create large softbox-like devices with a wooden frame and Chimera diffusion material but you could place the lights to close to the material or the box too close to the subject because of the uneven lighting and rapid falloff with hot spots. The Megalite seems like a practical idea and of course the stand on wheels is great.

Hi Geoff,

I haven't seen any of those new Ezybox's, the Megalite or the Kickerlite listed in the US as of yet

the kickerlite is really a great idea. Very tempted by that, but I'd wonder how durable it would be. The hilite I own is great, but I'd be worry about using something similar on the floor, as the front diffusion fabric seems to be more of a plastic/latex-ish fabric. Not sure if it'd be the same fabric, but either way it seems really cool.
