Photography Convention

Anyone know of any photography convention of some sort in the Toronto area?

I don't think there are photo conventions in the sense that you are thinking. But there is PMA and other trade shows directly related to photography. There are also events sponsored by large camera stores where they invite industry reps to come and display cameras and gear and offer seminars.

I think trade shows and conventions may be on the way out, the expenses are horrendous and there are more efficient ways for corporations to spend their money.

What we need is a good old photography swap meet with vender's and used (privately owned) equipment setup on tables .$10.00 tables and $2.00 to walk in maybe sponsored by a camera club or two on a Sunday morning. When I was into ham radio there were swap meets at least once a month around Detroit area. Mostly in high schools sponsored by the schools radio club. Just a thought Vince

I go the the Henry's show but there's no competition for prices. Its just the show specials.

I went to that show at the International Centre. It was busy like hell though. Traffic in there was a mess!
