Is the Canon A720 A good camera? I have an A95 and would like to upgrade
I have never had a problem with the A95 but would like a bit longer lens.

I have that camera and it works very well esp for the price. It is a tad bulky though for your pocket. My wife has the SD870 and it fits very well in the pocket and it takes very nice pics w/alot of features but only has 3x and no viewfinder.
If I had it to do over again I would probably buy the SX100 IS since they are about the same price (forget MSRP)

Amazon's price shows $290.50 which seems high when you can get an SX110 IS for less $$$ or even an SX10 IS for about $30 more.

My friend went to Florida last month and I ask him to get one for me but he couldn't find any in any shops... Eventually I bought one in Singapore.

It is a good camera, as it comes with manual function. However, don't expect too much as it is just a compact camera.

From what I know, some people actually use it as a back up for their DSLR...

Idid it. I picked up the a720is Wednesday morning.
I found it at 6th avenue electronics for $146.00. It was the last one , a floor model.
I also bought a 4gb lexar hc memory card and batteries.
So far so good. It eats batteries so my next purchase will be rechargable batteries.

I have heard very good reviews. This is not the camera I am going to (well looking to buy) but it does look like a good all-rounder!
