Winter has been holding on for dear life here in Chicago. Yesterday, I finally was able to walk around a little. It was kind of hazy but the sun was visable (today it was snowing again) and the temperature was in the high 40's. I was thinking that spring was coming.

kudos for shots #5 and #6 only on the basis of personal preference as all are crisp, clean shots.
I look forward to future postings as the grip of winter gives way. :-)

Very nice.....
I was there like 3 months ago or so. I was around that mellinium park where the big fountains with the faces...and I saw two fellows walking around with some very nice photo equipment. I wonder if they were anyone from these forums.
They were talking about catching the reflections off the buildings as they walked by me. Only thing I remember. (Gasp! Maybe it was you?)

I like the snow too. Just not in March. The weather has been warm here for two days in a row. TSTORMS this afternoon. That may actually mean Spring is here!

Walking through the Loop the past couple of days has been great. You were shooting near our office. Might be fun here this afternoon when the storms roll in. Oh, to have a camera trained on the Sears when it takes a strike. Must look pretty impressive. My attempts at lightning shots of the city have not been impressive since it is too bright to leave the shutter open too long. Anyone done better?

I live near Chicago (western 'burbs) and today it is supposed to be 70+ degrees F. Finally nice enough to get out w/o a jacket and soak up some rays and taking pictures of my daughter's soccer practice. I agree w/ Mills that snow is nice but by the time March rolls around..... ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!! :)

Yeah, I go to the Calumet Photo in Bensenville. Those people really know their stuff and they always have what I'm looking for in stock, either at that store or their one in Chicago which they can ship from. Maybe I'll see you there some day. :)
