*** CAUTION***
The following competition may result in bodily injury, possible death, or worse.... Your camera might get broken

Macro Speed Challenge #13 - Power Tools

In this competition I want to see 2 things:
1) Close-up shot of a power tool in action (something drilling, sawing, screwing, pounding, nailing.. you get the idea)
2) The debris that comes off while the power tool is in operation (wood chips, metal shavings, etc...)

So put on your safety glasses and UV filters, watch your trigger finger, get creative, and have some fun!!!

p.s. No bonus points will be awarded if you lose a finger or an eye :)

Wow great entries this week everyone... I'm sorry I couldn't play as I was on the other side of the country and away from my power tools playing for an hour or so in a vertical wind tunnel... :D

but I'm back and look forward to this weeks contest...

Congrats Lavanut!! :)
I hope you got all the sawdust off your camera

This was one of the hardest macro topics (for me) and yet all submissions were excellent to my eyes.
So Congrats to all! :)

No way I expected to win this one. I thought one of the sparks would win! This one was definitely a tough macro challenge. Congrats to all who played. Great shots!

I think I got all the sawdust off, but my sensor is due for a cleaning anyway. Maybe I can get to that this weekend.

New topic is up. I've been stashing a few ideas away for whenever. :)
Have fun with Macro DSLR Speed challenge #14 (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?p=7307373#post7307373).

wow, a guy goes out for a few weeks and look what happens!! What a creative challenge for MACRO...sure did bring out the Dremel tools! My fav was Monty's though Lavanut's just got a knack, but really, where is the freaking fire?!?!?! What a chance to set a power tool on fire and get the shot!! What a let down when there is nothing set on fire in one of your shots...hehehehe.... :p Still, way to sacrifice the gear for the shot!!

And since I was not around to give Geoff a well deserved "WOW" for that AMAZING spices shot...loved it!!
