After my new 50d arrived i decided i needed a new memory card as my 2gb extreme 3 card would only fit 68 (RAW+JPG) shots compared with 120 on my 40d, so i decided to purchase an 8gb sandisk ducati from play.com for £69.99 seeing as the 50d can take advantage of the UDMA technology.
The card arrived this morning so i chucked it in and powered on.
The first thing i notice is how fast my 50d buffer will clear now compared with the sandisk extreme 3 card. After a burst of 6.5fps it will clear a full buffer in under 5 seconds which is about half the time my old card would.
So if you have a camera like a 50d or 5dmk2 which supports UDMA i would strongly suggest either a sandisk ducati or a sandisk extreme 4 as they do make a huge differance.
