excellent shots! Very natural looking. How did you manage the 580 with an umbrella off camera? Do you have an assistant? Is it a big umbrella? Did u have any trouble with wind?

you dont need a permit here, you just have to be carefull.

I always have an asistant with me, but this time he was recording on video the sesion, so the strobe was on a tripod, and there was no wind so i didnt have problems with that, otherwise i would have my asistant holding it.
cheers.

Wow Henry, you really have a knack for this stuff...(insert jealous look here)
If you're this good with the XT, You should get a 5D MK1. I think you'll love it, and It will really allow you to do some things you may not be able to. (Not saying you're lacking anything, you never know what you're missing until you try one!)
How do you trigger the 580? and ST-E2? Or PW?

thanks a lot, i'm dying to get a 5D and a 70-200 2.8, but at the time i cant afford it. in a near future is more probably that i get the 50D, i trigger my 580 with a DIY e-ttl extension cord, and i just get the "poverty wizards" (cactus triggers) but i have to do some testing outdoors.
Nice work. I have a lot more to learn about posing...

I don't know man, with shots like this, you should be booking sessions every week. Not to mention weddings and quinceanieras (sp?) too.
Put a little away each job you have and get that 5D. Sell the XT and 17-55 and do it. You'll be blown away.
Or, do like I did and use a credit card and go into debt
I did however balance transfer it to a 0% interest offer...It'll be done within the year.
edit: oh, and I'd skip the 50D. Save some and get a 40D if you feel like doing without the 5D.
