what about 28-135. right now I use the 18-55II it's fast enough but I would like better glass. $400 is the limit.

I have one I use almost exclusivly for Drifting. It is a fantastic lens, at night it is a little slow on foccusing but day is no issue at all.

Prefocus on the track, and as long as it doesn't have to refocus to much, it can be made to work.
I have shot A1GP cars with, with some sucess. Although I was doing crazy things with slow shutter speeds, so don't ask to see any examples :)
