There are a few things that I would like Canon to fix.
1) GPS. I would like GPS in the 1D series bodies. Right now, you need to buy a chunky wireless adapter and then plug the third party GPS into that. Hardly a suitable configuration for something that is most useful when you are out and about.
2) Big prime len hoods. The current design with the oversize thumbscrew and "spade" is ugly and akward to use. I'm not an engineer but I'm sure that Canon could come up with a better design if they tried. A stronger version of the design used on the 85L hood would be good.
3) Big prime lens cap. Again, the current "bag" design is ugly and akward. I'm sure they could do better if they tried.
4) Better integration of ISO variation into the user interface. Back in the days of film, there were two variables, Av and Tv. Now, in digital, we have three, Av, Tv and ISO but the interface is stuck back in the days of film - ISO manipuilation is a clunky add-on. I'm not an interface designer but I'm sure they could do much better.
5) Hand-strap fitting for non 1-series bodies. I live with my camera in a hand-grip. I need to add a chunky battery grip or screw a third-party clip into the tripod socket if I want a hand-strap. Would an additional connector be too much to ask?
6) Adapt the tripod mount into a hand-grip on the big primes. It is the perfect balanced location to carry the lens/camera combo. Please can we have a comfortable grip where your hand doesn't easily slide off?
7) Hand grip to fit in the big prime lens-strap fitting. I want to carry my camera by the hand-grip but also want to support most of the weight of the lens. I would like a hand-grip that fits to the lens so that I can grasp it while my hand is through the hand-strap.
Did I miss anything?
