Hey everyone,
Well I have been sucked into the wonderful world of lighting.
For off camera lighting I have decided to go with Cybersyncs (Unless anyone has any other suggestions, what about Cactus?) as they are well talked about and are very decently priced.

What I ultimately would like to be able to do is be able to have my camera in hand with me being able to fire off my 580EX II off and another 580EX I or II both off camera.

What would be the route to go to achieve this with Cybersyncs
and what would be the way to go with other brands that are cheaper but still very good.

Thanks,
Scott

you need a CST trigger attached to your camera's PC sync and then a CSRB for each 580EXII you want to fire - then you may need a hotshoe PC sync adapter if you have a flash without a PC sync built in... they ship with the correct cables to plug into a PC port

Thanks so basically it will be about $200.

And whats better the Battery or A/C?

only get the AC units if you ONLY plan on using it with AC powered strobes - the Battery powered cybersyncs can be used with either - AC strobes, or on-camera flashes...

huh!? the CST goes on the hotshoe, no need for you to connect it to your pc sync. and since you are running 580s you just use the cable supplied with the recievers and your good to go.

The cactus triggers are generally considered to be unreliable. The Cybersyncs and Skyports are both very good, although I've used both and stuck with the Cybersyncs.

As has been said above, the Cybersyncs come with all of the cables necessary to connect to your EXII's.
