Nice set, too bad there was no pit...I hate when that happens...

Nice set, as always. I'm really digging #1. 6&7 come in second and third for me with #5 getting a very honorable mention. :)

Awesome capture in number 6. I always seem to just miss moments like this, or have a lens that is too long for my position on.

thanks all. yeah Joe, not having a pit is certainly limiting, but there are very few venues around town that provide one, so i guess it's just something you try to adapt to.

for 5 and 6, i was pretty severely under-exposed (the hazards of shooting manually and dialing in exposure settings for the light hitting Black Thought), and Captain Kirk made his moves too quickly for me to change on the fly.

i'll put some Antibalas shots up now.

I like the under exposed look to be honest. There is enough detail in the subject, and the background isn't blown out.

Yep, makes for great rim lighting as well.

Very nice. Reminds of another set someone posted not long ago with one of my favorite band instruments, the Sousaphone! :-) If I recall they had a lot of jumping and stuff, too. Ever the adventurer, eh, Tim?
