movie mode couldnt zoom

Hi when i was recording in the movie mode, i am unable to zoom in or out. Is it supposed to be that way ? or my G2 got some problem ??

I'm surprised no one else suggested you read the fine manual. The zoom is shut off in movie mode because the motor noise would record through the built in microphone. Ergo, your G2 is working as designed.
