I went out on Friday to my local birding place to see what was around. It was a very overcast day, I set my camera, (20D), to ISO 400 with my 100-400mm lens. I did not get to much that was any good except for the Gadwall, (duck). The Night Heron is a really interesting bird but I scarred him with the shutter when he was close up and was limited to getting him when he was further away. The picture is heavily cropped and thus has poor detail, (the one that got away story).
I have recently purchased a 2x converter but have yet to get a sharp picture with it with or without a tripod. I usually use the 100-400mm and take pictures of wildlife. Does anyone have any suggestions, can this be done?
Thanks & Regards,
Bob
